Chracteristics
Alloy-TiC FT-2 is comprised of ultra-hard titanium carbide grains cemented
by a high carbon high chrom- ium tool steel matrix. It is furnished in the soft,
annealed state, and can be readily machined into any desired shape using conventional
tooling.
Alloy-TiC FT-2 is a 400series stainless steel and Good corrosion resistance
is obtained. Other alloys can have high nickel content or a special composition
to resist the most severe environments. In comparison to other cermet or ceramic
materials, and able to withstand greater mechanical and thermal stresses.
